- Biography
A storytelling music and book universe.
Gisela
Singer
Raised in Lisbon, Gisela grew up surrounded by music, singing beside her grandfather, a harmonica player, before finding her own voice on stage.
After winning a karaoke competition at the FIL Lisbon International Fair, she became a regular live performer and later fronted Undercover, performing across respected Lisbon venues and Portuguese casinos.
Her credits include studio work, television appearances, original projects, and a Rock in Rio Lisbon performance with HumansR.
Today, Gisela brings power, emotion and stage experience to Astral Rocks, turning each song into something alive, immediate and unforgettable.
Milli Schweizer
Founder, Songwriter, Composer & Piano
Milli Schweizer is the founder, songwriter, composer and pianist behind Astral Rocks, as well as the author of its companion novels. Trained in classical piano and shaped by a British-Swiss background, Milli writes songs that begin not with a melody but with a real memory — drawing every lyric from lived experience rather than invented narrative.
That same instinct for honest storytelling carries over into Milli’s writing, including the novels Whispers from the Deep and Raised by Cold Hands — work that sits inside the same emotional world as the music, building Astral Rocks into a single storytelling universe rather than a band with a side project.
João
Drums & Musical Director
Born in Lisbon, João began drumming at 18 and, within a year, was already playing the Lisbon bar circuit. A self-taught musician with a natural instinct for groove and dynamics, he has a career spanning thousands of live shows and numerous studio recordings across rock, grunge, pop, progressive, and fusion. He has performed and recorded with the SGs, Hi-5IVE, DEEPSKIN, INSTEAD, SER BELAVISTA22, among others. He also studied vocals with acclaimed opera singer Cristina Castro, and brings backing vocals from behind the kit to every performance. In Astral Rocks, João provides not only a rhythmic foundation but also instinct, energy, and a storyteller’s sense of drama.

Sofia
Concert Harp
Classically trained in Lucerne and playing since the age of seven, Sofia brings one of the most distinctive and unexpected elements to Astral Rocks: a harp at the heart of a rock band. Drawing on classical training alongside influences from K-pop, T-pop and contemporary neoclassical music, she uses pickups, effects and a loop station to transform the harp into a cinematic, versatile instrument capable of delicate textures, driving rhythms and powerful musical moments. Sofia’s harp playing sits at the heart of the band’s live identity, creating a striking contrast alongside guitars, bass and drums that has become central to the Astral Rocks sound. As Sofia puts it: “The harp has no limits. It can truly rock.”
